I almost didn’t write this week’s blog.
I’ve just got back from holiday, my routine is completely upside down, and it suddenly dawned on me that it was Friday… and I’d completely forgotten about my weekly newsletter.
For a split second I thought, “I’ll just skip this week.”
But then I remembered why I started writing every Friday morning in the first place.
Not because I knew I’d always remember.
Not because life would always go to plan.
But because I made a promise to myself to show up consistently.
And that’s something I encourage all of my members to do too.
Consistency Beats Perfection
Whether it’s training, nutrition, mobility or simply looking after yourself, nobody is perfect.
Holidays happen.
Busy weeks happen.
Life happens.
Taking a break isn’t the problem. In fact, sometimes it’s exactly what you need.
The real difference is what happens next.
Do you wait until Monday? Next month? When life feels less hectic?
Or do you simply pick up where you left off?
Progress isn’t built by never missing a workout. It’s built by returning to your routine, again and again.
A Simple Post-Holiday Reset
If you’re feeling a little out of sync after time away, don’t overcomplicate it. Start with the basics.
- Book your next workout into your diary.
- Drink plenty of water and get back into good hydration habits.
- Return to regular, balanced meals rather than grazing all day.
- Resist the urge to “make up” for missed sessions—just continue where you left off.
- Focus on consistency over intensity.
Small actions repeated consistently will always beat one huge burst of motivation.
Something Exciting Is Coming…
Talking about getting back into routine couldn’t be more fitting because this Sunday (19th July) at 6pm, I’ll be launching a brand new workout package on the FlighFit Online Academy.
Although it’s been designed specifically with aerialists and pole dancers in mind, it’s suitable for anyone wanting to build strength, improve conditioning and increase flexibility.
The package includes:
- 6 targeted strength sessions, including Pulling Power to develop stronger back muscles.
- 3 full-body conditioning workouts (20–30 minutes) to build stamina and endurance.
- 2 flexibility sessions, one for the upper body and onefor the lower body.
You’ll be able to purchase it as a standalone programme or access it as part of the Unlimited Access Membership.
Keep an eye on your inbox on Sunday evening, as I’ll also be sharing some exclusive launch offers.
Thanks for reading—and thanks for keeping me accountable to my own Friday routine!
Have a wonderful weekend,
