Aerial Hoop

Aerial Hoop is an empowering and dynamic way to build strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness – all while having a great time dancing in the air. It improves posture, enhances flexibility, improves coordination, tones and sculpts the body, and gives you a serious confidence boost. Most of all, it’s fun – and that’s always a must here at High!

We offer a variety of hoop styles to suit all personalities and training goals, including Tippy Hoop, Hand/Foot Loop variations, Hoop Flow, and classic static or spinning hoop. Whether you’re here for strength, fluid movement, creative expression, or just to try something new – there’s something for everyone.

Hoop is a progressive practice, and our structured courses are designed to help you build safely from the basics upward. You’ll learn a mix of mounts, poses, spins, balances, rolls, strength moves, and transitions, all tailored to your level and developed over time to grow both your ability and confidence.

If you’ve ever watched someone spin gracefully in a hoop and thought, “I’d love to try that” – this is your sign! Aerial Hoop is not only a brilliant way to build strength and confidence, but it also gives you a whole new appreciation for what your body can do. Many of our students say giving it a go was one of the best decisions they’ve made.

      Most Importantly…

Don’t worry about being nervous. Everyone starts somewhere, and no one is watching or judging – they’re all focused on their own hoop journey. Expect laughter, encouragement, and maybe a few wobbles – we’ve all been there! At High, we’re a supportive, fun-loving aerial family, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the world of Aerial Hoop.

      Important Information

      Before You Arrive:

      • Finding Us: We’re located just behind the FlexSpace building on Stafford Drive, in the Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury. If it’s your first visit, please allow extra time to find us and get settled.
      • What to Wear: Opt for leggings or fitted joggers and a comfy top. Our hoops are taped for grip, so skin coverage is preferred to help avoid friction burns and make your experience more comfortable.
      • Jewellery Off, Please: For safety and comfort, please remove all rings, bracelets, watches, and large earrings before class.

      During & After Class:

      • Health & Safety: Let your instructor know about any injuries or health conditions before we begin. We’re happy to adapt movements to suit your needs.
      • Got Questions? We love chatting with students after class – ask us anything, whether it’s about technique, next steps, or what to expect as you progress.
      •  You don’t need to be strong to start aerial – building strength is one of the main goals of our classes, not a requirement to begin.
      • Choose a studio and instructor where you feel comfortable and safe. A supportive environment makes all the difference when you’re trying something new.
      • Muscle soreness after your first class is totally normal. It’s a sign your body is working in new ways! Any discomfort should ease within a couple of days.
      • Enjoyed Your First Course? You’ll get priority booking to continue in the same time slot so you can keep developing your skills without losing your place. Our courses fill quickly – once you’re in, you’re in!
